Hi Peter, wonderful interview with Bryan on the podcast. It was really great. Have you ever thought of creating audiograms to share some of the interviews? Just a thought.
After my play, the Q&A tend to become pretty intense and emotional, as you can imagine. And sometimes, a few people try to take the “talk back” in a political direction, but I really try to change the direction of the conversation as quickly as I can. I try to remind them that the play is not meant to be a political message, or at least tries not to be political and that the goal of the play is to honor the sacrifice made by so many. I always tell them that there are plenty of political plays about pro-war or against war, but this is not one - it’s a piece of theatre to honor. The Q&A or “talkbacks” really become the 2nd act of my play.
Again, this was a wonderful interview, and I enjoyed it a lot. I hope you will be able to see the play one day. There is talk of a small NYC run—maybe that one.
