I have such respect for Stephanie’s tenacity and such a tenderness for her story. Her talking about showing up to rehearsals with her cotton balls and bruises on her arms and then crying on the phone when she found out it didn’t take…gosh, I felt for her so much because I know that feeling, that pain. Years of infertility and showing up to daily life and responsibilities with all the band aids and bruises from treatment after treatment and taking the gut punch when the tests came back negative…all while having to keep on doing your job. Gosh. But then the perspective of how she channels her lived experience into to her artistry. That’s sacred work. I respect her so much. When she said “I just want to suck the marrow out of life” tears came to my eyes. Same, sister. Same.
Great interview. I saw it early in previews. Maybe first preview. Found the pacing and dialogue difficult to follow. Now I think I’ll go back. So I’m glad I listened.
A question (sorry). Where is AD 16?? Is it coming back?? It was so good.
It was super. Love listening to you guys. I went to the museum of bway the other day and I saw the poster for two on the aisle. I never knew the reference to 3on the aisle! And I’m
